歌曲簡介－《生命之光》
《生命之光》由香港知名詞人陳少琪作詞、音樂人金培達作曲。陳少琪为《生命之光》所作 的詞可謂別出心裁，將”同一個世界 同一個夢想 北京歡迎你”以藏頭的型式融入歌詞中，以典型的A段加副歌的結構出現。A段工整地以” 同樣……一”加两個并列的偏正短語，工整的句式决定了歌詞是上口而易于記憶的 。全詞下来，貫穿着”夢想是條擋不住的巨龍 想飛到哪裡 哪裡就有風”的催人奮進。
《生命之光》在作曲和編曲上，金培達先生發揮他擅長的大氣恢弘、聲音表情豐滿、旋律流暢細膩的特點，全曲颇有一氣呵成之感。加上編配上以寓意光影泛動、漸强的淅瀝分解和弦带出BACK VOCAL，漸强配合情緒的堆加，然後在歌手VOCAL的部分，用背景人聲哼唱、弦樂 、以及曲末的镲等方法，雕塑歌曲的層次感和整體的”莊”、”雅”之感。

What wrong have these poor monks and nuns done to be killed like Jews by Nazis? The Tibetan genocide by the Chinese is going on now, and in the last 60 years over 1.2 million Tibetans have been massacred in cold blood by the Chinese military. The world has remained silent. Why? Are the Tibetans not human enough to even have any human rights in their own homeland?
China blatantly stole an independent nation of Tibet while the rest of the world kept watching. China committed genocides in Tibet, Sudan, and Mongolia. The world has watched it silently. The Tibetans have suffered way too much at the hands of the evil communist government of China. The Chinese government is into wiping out Tibetan ethnicity in order to plunder and misuse Tibetan land and resources. People who eat snakes and dogs are immoral and corrupt to the bone to do the incomprehensible in abusing their power and can’t be trusted at all. Tibet under China is a clear and present danger of a mass genocide waiting to happen and this is not acceptable. If a communist USSR was brought down to its knees, the Chinese know all to well that a communist China can be dismantled just as quickly.
China’s human rights abuses are “staggering”: the detention of hundreds of thousands of people, including political activists, for “reeducation” programs, and forced labor camps; and the liberal use of the death penalty in China — including for political prisoners — which makes China the site of 8 of every 10 government administered executions carried out in the world!
Governments worldwide need to get past their indifferent attitudes towards Tibet and more importantly the people of the world need to wake up before it’s too late. Anyone remember the Holocaust? Talk to your local government to support a free Tibet. Help The Dalai Lama - every bit counts~!
