Deni Bonet is a singer/songwriter and world-class electric violinist. She was an original cast member of National Public Radio’s premier music show, MOUNTAIN STAGE and has performed with Cyndi Lauper, REM, Sarah McLachlan, Robyn Hitchcock, etc. before forming her own highly regarded band. She’s appeared at Lilith Fair, performed on Saturday Night Live, Conan, and the Today Show.

Deni quit the classical world to pursue a solo career because she hated wearing black and having to sit still! The Wall Street Journal recently described Deni’s music as “like Sheryl Crow meets the B52’s”. She’s got a new CD called “LAST GIRL ON EARTH” that will be released in early March.

Bari Koral and Deni Bonet in an acoustic performance during Bari’s guest appearance on Deni’s TV show, “DUETS WITH DENI”. This version is directly from the show archives.

Three pop/rock albums released over the last decade, a new family band record and live shows, a novella- “Confessions of an Indiegirl,” a comedy aimed at teens to thirty-some things, all add up to this. Bari Koral is an artist for many ages.

Bari toured regularly for almost eight years all over the country becoming one of the top grossing acts on the college circuit. She was often compared to her peer folk/pop singers like Jewel, Norah Jones and Joan Osborne (some of whom she has appeared with). Her albums have been critically acclaimed and she has received great reviews while gracing the covers of entertainment sections of city papers, college papers and hundreds of zines and music magazines around the country, including Billboard. Several of her songs were spun on radio and made their way into films and prime time television shows.

Bari’s Family Rock Band cd and live show includes some earnest songs about animals and cars such as “The Farm Song,” and “Dad’s New Car,” which are destined to become instant kid’s classics. Many other songs have plenty of adult appeal however including “A Day at the Beach,” reminiscent of the Go Go’s, the bouncy pop ballad, “There’s Nothing I Wouldn’t Do,” and live favorites such as “Dance all Day,” which seems to draw from equal parts Blondie to The Hokey Pokey.
